7/15/22

2022 MLB Draft LeagueDe Grandpré has numerous starter traits, including a repeatable delivery and advanced feel for sequencing his pitches. He can run his fastball up to 95+, pitching to both sides of the plate, and De Grandpré can keep hitters off balance using his curveball and changeup that fuels his starter potential.

3/03/22

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound sophomore has a strong, durable pitcher's body and an advanced feel for pitching. De Grandpré pitches to both sides of the plates with a 90-94 fastball that has late tail and sink. His curveball can flash plus at 77-80 with sharp, downer action with a hard bite, and he also has an 84-85 changeup at his disposal. De Grandpré throws strikes with all three pitches and has the ability to make pitches when he needs to. See as someone with upside and who will gain velocity. See as a back-of-the-rotation guy at the Major League level with command of three average-to-better pitches.

7/28/19

De Grandpre is an athletic-looking kid. He’s a sturdy 6-1, 192 pounds, physical and looks the part no matter where you put him on the field. On the mound he sat 87-88, touching 89, with a slider that has shape to it. One of the better uncommitted players in the country, De Grandpre is eye-catching. He isn’t very vocal, and you don’t hear him a lot, but when he’s in the spotlight, he’s a can’t-miss player.

7/26/19

It's been an outstanding week for De Grandpré at the PBR National Championships so far offensively, and it didn’t stop today. With a sturdy build and bat speed from the right-side of the plate, De Grandpré’s raw power plays. In the sixth inning of today’s matchup, he took a pitch on the inner half 335 feet away to left-field, coming off the bat at 99 mph. He is a potential middle of the order type at the next level who can change the outcome of the game with one swing of the bat.
