De Grandpre is an athletic-looking kid. He’s a sturdy 6-1, 192 pounds, physical and looks the part no matter where you put him on the field. On the mound he sat 87-88, touching 89, with a slider that has shape to it. One of the better uncommitted players in the country, De Grandpre is eye-catching. He isn’t very vocal, and you don’t hear him a lot, but when he’s in the spotlight, he’s a can’t-miss player.

It's been an outstanding week for De Grandpré at the PBR National Championships so far offensively, and it didn’t stop today. With a sturdy build and bat speed from the right-side of the plate, De Grandpré’s raw power plays. In the sixth inning of today’s matchup, he took a pitch on the inner half 335 feet away to left-field, coming off the bat at 99 mph. He is a potential middle of the order type at the next level who can change the outcome of the game with one swing of the bat.
