A product of Quebec, Chaif has gotten visibly stronger since we saw him in Montreal. Now standing 6-foot-1, 185-pounds, the wiry two-way player had a strong showcase on both sides of the ball. Offensively he looks right at the dish with minimal movements, repeatable swings and a good two-handed follow through, reaching a peak exit velocity of 91.1 mph and a carry distance of 338 feet while catching the the sweet spot at a 66% clip. Defensively he moves around the infield well with quick feet, proper glove presentation and energy throughout his set, maxing out at 90 mph across the diamond. It plays on the mound as well as a serviceable lot-to-mid 80s arm that has feel for CB (2400+) and a changeup.Good overall day for Chaif, who won't be uncommitted for too much longer.
