6-foot-4, 180-pound, a long, length athletic frame. The neck is long, shoulders are thin, has room to fill out and get stronger. Currently a two-way player, off the mound this right-handed pitcher has a clean effortless arm. The delivery is simple, has timing and tempo to it. The hands start high, work down with step back and work their way back up with leg raise. The arm action is long and clean on the back side, works out of a natural ¾ slot. The direction is in line with lead leg, front arm needs to be stronger and stay in line, drops off close to release of baseball, loses power, an easy fix with practice. The backside could be stronger, wants to sit, loses some leverage. The fastball was clocked at 78-81 mph with a ton more in his arm, located very well down in zone, 2 seamer had late action to it. The breaking ball is more of a slider, clocked at 68 mph, has slurve break to it. The changeup showed to have proper spin and shape to it, has enough depth, with arm action being clean and long, look for this pitch to take off at some point. Offensively, hits from the right side, has an open to even setup, feet are wider than shoulder width apart. The hands are loose at shoulder height, have some movement to them in the prep pitch setup. For timing has a high controlled leg kick, gets loaded up, transfers the weight from the back side to the front, hits against a firm front side. The swing is level through the zone and finishes high with one hand. The approach is gap to gap, hits the ball where it's pitched, the tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph and ran a 7.65 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, has soft hands, real good flow and actions to and through the baseball. The arm was clocked at 80 mph, plenty of strength and carry across the diamond. The feet are quick from side to side, double play feeds were performed smooth. Good looking prospect, I love him off the mound, this he is going to jump quick at some point.
