6.20.18

6-foot, 200-pound, strong, durable, athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, strength throughout. The back is wide, has room to add strength, moves well. A two-way player, projects more off the mound for me. A right-handed pitcher, has a simple controlled balanced, repeatable delivery, pounds the zone with three pitches. The hands stay low throughout, good tempo to the delivery, stride is inline to the plate, lands slightly open with lead foot. The front arm is inline, strong, keeps everything moving towards target. The arm works out of a high ¾ slot, has sink to the armside, and works down in the zone. The fastball reached 83 mph, baseball comes out of his hand with ease, late life when it reaches the plate. The breaking ball is more of a slider, 72-75 mph, its above average pitch, late depth with down action. Flashed a curveball as well at 65-69 mph, more top to bottom rotation to it. The changeup was clocked at 70-73 mph, proper fade and action to arm side, will keep left-handed hitters off balance. At the plate, has a balanced approach, looks to drive the baseball to both gaps, more line drives. The feet are even, slightly wider than shoulder width and hands start at the letters. The path is level and barrel stays in the zone a long time. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph and ran a 7.29, runs very well for a big kid. Defensively, shows to have soft hands, works low to the ground, moves well to both sides, especially to glove side. The arm was clocked at 80 mph across the diamond, had good touch on all throws across the diamond. Could make a move to first base long term. Projects for me off the mound, time will tell which way he goes, get out and see him pitch.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.29

Exit Velocity: 88 mph

Arm Velocity: 80  mph
