At the plate, hands are strong and loose and gets to the baseball extremely quickly. The stance is taller, slightly open, gains ground with stride foot, weight stays back and transfers it under control. The swing is short to the baseball and level through the zone, across his chest. The approach is more middle to pull, with spraying one line drive after another. The hands and wrists are extremely strong for his age, the tee exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph and ran a 7.46 mph. Behind the plate, setup is extremely low to the ground, is flexible and looks to be a comfortable target to throw to. The hands are strong and soft and gets underneath the low pitch, is quick to the block and can scramble back to his feet quickly. During the transfer, right foot replaces the left foot, glove gets to throwing hand. The arm action is short, throws from a higher slot near his ear, arm was clocked at 71 mph, throws were on or close to the bag. The pop time was very good for his age at 1.96- 2.18. Big follow, looks to have serious game to him, need to see him.
