Derek Gesmondi: OF/LHP, (2024) Prout, RI. 6-foot, 165-pound athletic strong frame. Above average at the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 91 mph. (65.7 mph bat speed average). (19.1 mph hand speed average). Begins in a wide balanced stance with a rhythmic load, then uses a controlled toe tap stride. Had a loose upward swing plane, electric bat speed and high balanced finish. He barreled up multiple balls with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Above average recorded an outfield position velocity of 81 mph; had soft hands, a twitchy exchange, and athletic footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used an-over-the-top slot and a short arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.24. Athletic at the plate, swings the bat.

6-foot, 165-pound, strong, athlete, super strong and physical. A left-handed hitter, balanced in the box, relaxed hands at shoulder height. The swing is loose, works with minimal effort, a flat to up path, stays behind the baseball, creating backspin to the baseball. The approach was from gap to gap, driving the baseball with authority. The exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph, with a ton more in there, and ran a 7.46 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, moves very well in outfield, gets great routes on balls. The arm action is clean working from a higher slot, all throws are downhill and were clocked at 78 mph. Banged the baseball during game play, collecting hits. Love his game and feel.

Started in a balanced tall stance with a smooth compact load, then used a short controlled stride. Has above average quick bat speed, short level swing plane and good extension on his high finish. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach.Above average in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 75 mph; had quick smooth footwork, a clean natural exchange,and soft sure hands. Movements laterally were twitchy and he fields the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short quick arm action with a high ¾ slot.
