Henry Kearns: OF/RHP, (2025) Pilgrim High School, RI. 6-foot-3, 180-pound lean athletic build. Raw projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 95 mph. (68.1 mph bat speed average). (22.7 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic balanced stance with an active load, then uses a short stride. Had electric bat speed, short simple swing plane and good extension on his balanced finish. He barreled up multiple balls with tons of loud contact. Up the middle opposite field approach. Solid from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 82 mph; shows a fluid exchange, soft hands, and athletic smooth feet. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a time of 7.2 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, using a long loose arm action he showed developing arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Has a strong balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 74-77 mph; showed both sides of the plate control with straight movement. (Max spin 1895; Avg 1780). Throws a 1/7 curveball (64-65) that has glove side command and slurvey early action. (Max spin 1691; Avg 1646). His changeup (65-68) showed arm side control and fading action.
