Jake Mather: C/3B, (2023) Coventry, RI. 6-foot-1, 205-pound mature frame. Projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 90 mph. (68.50 mph bat speed average). (21.71 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick stride. Had above average bat speed, long swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up lots of balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 78 mph. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 75 mph; had soft hands, developing footwork, and a clean exchange. displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.94-2.00. Average flexibility and calm setup. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.45. Solid on the mound, showing developing arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Uses some effort in his delivery. Displays falling off shoulders with a consistent balance point. a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 79-80 mph; has running action and control around the zone with straight movement. (Max spin 2021; Avg 1832). His 10/4 slider (67-69) shows sweeping action and glove side command. (Max spin 1930; Avg 1731).

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Started in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick stride. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, long swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 90 mph exit velocity, average 77.84 mph. 68.50 mph bat speed average. 21.71 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 1.94-2.00 pop times. Soft hands, developing footwork, clean exchange. Above average. Average flexibility and calm setup. 

Arm: 78 mph infield velocity. 75 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.45 (60-yard).

Pitching:  Solid. some effort. high ¾ arm angle, developing arm speed, loose arm action. Consistent balance point, falling off shoulders, a falling off finish.

FB: T80. 79-80 mph. (Max spin 2021;  Avg 1832). Around the zone accuracy, running action, straight movement. 

SL: 67-69 mph. Glove side command, sweeping action, 10/4 movement. (Max spin 1930; Avg 1731).
