5-foot-10., 165-pound right-handed hitting corner infielder and pitcher. He ran a 7.7 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is solid, the feet need to improve as he works through the ball. The hands are soft and he caught everything at him. He threw 71 mph across the diamond during the defensive portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 79 mph as he needs to get physically stronger. The setup is wide in base and the front foot gains ground to the ball as it approaches the hitting zone. The bat has a small amount of wrap to it prior to initiation of the swing. The path is long to contact.
Exit Velocity- 79 mph
INF Velocity- 71 mph

5-foot-7, 145-pound, smaller, athletic frame, shoulders are sloped. A right-handed hitting corner infielder, at the plate, wider feet, open setup, hands held higher, flat bat above the shoulders. The swing is level through the zone, small arm bar, catches up on contact. Finishes the swing with two hands above the shoulders. The lower half is under control, small leg lift. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 71 mph and ran 4.96 from home to first base. Defensively, threw 63 mph, across the diamond from third base to first. The hands are soft on the catch, fields out front funnels them into mid-section for the transfer, foot work is clean. Showed good mobility to the glove side. Continued strength training and conditioning is a must, will aid in development.

5-foot-6, 145 pounds, average athletic build, slight slope to shoulders, will add muscle to the frame as he enters his high school career. Ran an 8.98 sixty yard dash. In the box, McDuff starts with a wide base, inversion with the lead foot, and hands that work high. He takes a small step to the ball out of slightly open stance. The bat path is mostly level. The hands are quiet. Physical development will be key to help increase bat speed and typical refinement in the mechanics is expected as he climbs the development ladder. His tee exit velocity was measured at 62 MPH. Defensively, McDuff worked out as a third baseman with throws across the diamond clocked up to 59 MPH. Throws from a natural ¾ arm slot. His feet move in sync with the rest of his body in defensive actions. Glove tracks the ball well on the backhand. As he matures, will want to see a little more quick twitch in infield actions. At this stage of a baseball career, committing to development is key having now set his year one baseline. Looking forward to seeing his maturation process and skill development over the next few years.
