7/12/16

5-foot-10, 175-pound, strong athletic frame, shoulders are sloped, with plenty of room for development. This right-handed hitter had a very good workout. The stance is balanced, slightly open, and the hands are held above the back shoulder. The weight gets loaded up well, keeps his hands back and uses a leg kick for timing. The swing is level across his chest and with a high one-handed finish. The approach is gap to gap, with power potential as he gets stronger. The tee exit velocity was 83 mph life and whip out front. In game performance was outstanding collecting 3 hits and making solid contact. Runs the bases well, time down the line was 4.5 with a good athletic kick. Defensively, can play both second base and the hot corner. The prep steps are good, works from the ground up, fielded the ball out front, keeps his feet moving towards target through and after transfer. The arm has some strength to it, was clocked at 78 mph across the diamond with life and carry. Good looking prospect who can hit, handle the bat and play multiple positions, need to follow him closely.

2/20/16

5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic build, strong body, has room for future development. A right-handed hitting corner guy. Offensively, he hits with an open stance, gets back to even on contact. Hands are set high, balanced throughout, lower half is under control, swing is level, to a smooth one-handed finish. Front foot gets down on time and hits against the front side. The tee exit velocity was 78 mph. Defensively, clocked at 71 mph, arm action is clean and has some length to it on the back. Hands are soft out front, looks to take extra step on ground ball to glove side. Backhand play was made smooth stayed through it well. Footwork on the start of double was smooth and actions overall are smooth. Feet and hands worked well together on the pro move. Ran a 4.50 from home to first.
