Fernandez is an athletic 6-foot, 175 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of a balanced set up, with the hands relaxed off the back shoulder. The hands really work with his swing! He generates good bat-speed through the hitting zone, producing a lot of hard line drives and an exit velocity of 89 MPH. The swing is balanced throughout and he gets good extension through contact.
Defensively, Fernandez was 85 MPH across the diamond and showed athleticism. He is soft on his feet and glides to balls laterally. The hands are soft, as he transitions through the ground ball. The feet create a direct line with his target, using a quick arm to work the ball across the infield.
Fernandez is someone to get out and see this spring! He’s an athletic infielder in the middle of the diamond with juice in the bat.

6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. He ran a 7.41 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is advanced and clean throughout the fielding of the ball. The glove is soft and the feet stay active during the fielding of the ball. He threw 80 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 89 mph. The setup is wide in base and he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The hands are clean and they produce a flat stroke to the ball. He is a solid prospect.

5-foot-11, 160-pound, average to longer athletic frame, shoulders are rounded, neck is longer, has plenty of room to fill out and develop. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, balanced stance, lower hands, even feet, small controlled leg kick, gains ground, is under control. The hands are very short and quick to the baseball, barral stays in the zone, sprays line drives to all fields, hard solid contact in both rounds. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph and ran a 4.62 from home to first. Defensively, actions and movements are smooth, quick and has some twitchyness to him. The footwork is clean, gets around the baseball, fields out front, fast transfer to arm. The arm is clean and quick, working out of a natural slot, clocked at 77 mph. The arm is whippy with plenty of carry across the diamond. The feeds and turns on double plays were performed correct, projects for me to play all three infield spots.
