6-foot-4, 230 pounds, thick, physical build, major strength in the lower half, room to tighten up the upper body, average proportions to the frame. Ran a 7.51 sixty yard dash. Hitting from the right-side, Panarello works from a wide stance and a bend in the knees. Even in the box, his hands start around the letters before rocking back during the load, and work fluidly through the zone, showing good bat control. Consistent contact during batting practice, flashed some of the raw power his build would point toward, though the approach is geared more for gap-to-gap, line drive contact. The bat path is level finishing strong with one hand, though at times can get a little long in game. His tee exit velocity was measured at 88 MPH. Working out as both a catcher and an infielder, the arm was clocked at 74 MPH from both positions, where he throws from a high ¾ slot. Out of the chute, his throws had carry and he showed off an ability to put the ball consistently on the bag, where his pop times ranged from 1.95-2.05. The glove works well at first base moving to the forehand and backhand. Nimble on his feet around the bag. Potential to be a middle of the order hitter at the next level, and if he can stick at catcher, provide above average value offensively for the position. A 2019 uncommitted follow in Rhode Island.

6-foot-4, 230 pounds, broad shoulders, it is easy to see Panarello filling out projectable frame. Could become a truly imposing player physically with high level raw power. Defensively, he shows soft hands behind the plate that contribute to his plus profile as a first baseman. His throwing arm is still a work in progress, clocked at 67 mph from the chute and 68 mph across the diamond. The arm action is clean, showed good touch on all throws. Even with a developing arm, Panarello has a quick transfer, getting the ball out in a hurry and on target, with a best pop time of 1.95. A right-handed hitter, the power potential is beginning to actualize but there is plenty more to dream on. His hitting mechanics consist of a short stride to the ball, with wrists locking into his load letter high, capped off with a smooth right hand finish. Honing pitch selection and developing an approach that maximizes his power profile will be important in his long term development. He’ll need to refine some aspects of his defense behind the plate on the footwork and receiving side, but has the hand eye to make it work. Definitely someone to keep tabs on in the next year.
