Physical Profile/Projection - 5-11, 155lbs. Square shoulders, high waist. Has seen a significant increase in his physicality since our last look (6/23/29). Build will support additional player development.
Offensive Analysis - Broad stance with a simple set up. Loads the weight back slightly turning the barrel and engaging the back elbow. Toe tap leg kick and short stride. Level path through contact with a compact two hand finish. Quicks hands, showed feel for a line drive path. Used the middle of the field. 82.22 mph EV (Trackman).
Defensive Analysis - INF, Fluid Footwork. Maintains momentum through the fielding process. Athletic actions, smooth lateral movements and confident hands. Funnels to the mid section with clean exchanges. OTT arm slot. 75 mph INF velo with accuracy.
Delivery/Mechanics - Short rocker step to an athletic balance point above the belt. Slight rotation at the top. Drop and drive delivery with a full arm action on the back side. Works through a H3Q to OTT arm slot. Aggressive follow through with moderate effort in the delivery. Lands square, gaining ground to the plate, and falling off the glove side with his finish. Repeatable delivery with feel.
Pitches - FB 81 mph. 2111 Avg. Spin. Locates in the zone with good feel. FB shows ASR. Moved the pitch to both sides of the plate with intent. CB 70 mph. With two tiered action. Mostly side to side with short downer break at times.
Smaller profile with athletic build. Body control and lateral movement will give him a chance to trend in the right direction. Shorter running gate with moderate effort, infield play showed better than recorded 60 time. Stance outside the shoulders with a knee to knee load and a flatter bat path through the zone. Showed the ability to work the hands through the inside of the ball with consistent on barrel contact in the middle of the field. Stop and start rhythm in the infield, with near maximal effort to carry throws to 1st base. Higher, knee to chest compact leg kick on the mound in a slightly rotational delivery. H3Q to OTT slot with misses coming to the glove side and finishing towards the 1st base line. Loose breaking ball with 11/5 shape.
