’23 OF Carter Beck (U Mary commit) was one of the top overall bats at the Canada Cup which was loaded with offensive talent. He picked up multiple hits in half of his games, going 12-for-27 (.444) with six extra-base hits including a HR. Pure hitter from the left-side with the ability to hit the ball for power when he wants or use the entire field for contact. Really impressive showing from Beck, putting Saskatchewan on his back en route to a bronze medal finish in his final appearance with the provincial squad.
8/17/22
Carter had impressive at bats and opened eyes down at the 2022 Canada Summer Games. His 5-foot-10 frame is sturdy and athletic on basepaths, and looked comfortable in the outfield with positive route running ability. Short leg kick, compact swing with an ideal bat path. Showed an ability to make consistent solid contact and a mature approach from the left side of the dish. Gathered a handful of extra-base hits during the opening prelims and proved himself to be one of the better hitters on Saskatchewan’s team.
