Olfert was another 2026 that impressed at the scout day. He had one of the more consistent rounds of BP on the day, finding barrels regularly accumulating a sweet spot % of 72. With one of the smoothest swings at the event, he utilizes a leg lift and quiet hands during his load to elevate the ball back up the middle reaching a max exit velocity of 85.8 mph. On the mound, the fastball sits 77-79 mph, and has two breaking balls with unique profiles. The changeup plays well off the fastball with plenty of arm side run at 72-75 mph. The 5-foot-11, 160 pound 2-way has plenty of upside and projection and will be an intriguing follow going forward.
