This was the first time our staff saw Kaufmann on the mound, and the 6-foot, 187 pound 2-way impressed. The fastball at 81-83 mph with an athletic look, and a short quick arm out of ¾ slot. The curveball has plenty of movement, -7.0 inches of IVB and 17.2 of HB, and spun it at 2100+ rpms. Mixed in a changeup as well at 74-75 mph. At the plate, Kaufmann put up a consistent round staying back up the middle and reaching a max EV of 85.5 mph. An intriguing 2025 in Saskatchewan will only get better after an offseason of development.
