6/24/18 -

60 Time: 7.43, Pop Time: 1.85-1.90, Position Velocity:  C-75, Exit Velocity: 87
6-foot-0, 180-pound, RHH improved his pop times and his exit velocity from 2 weeks earlier at Vanderbilt.  Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned present strength throughout, some physical projection.  Offensively, hits w/ an open, slightly crouched stance w/ low hand location and some hand rhythm into shift of weight, knee to knee leg kick and proper load.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Quiet head combined w/ barrel staying in the zone for a long-time projects him to hit for average.  Projectable pull power.   As a receiver, presents a quality low target w/ no glove rest.  Quiet mover behind the plate, shows ability to maximize and steal a number of strikes for his pitchers.  Shows ability to box the baseball.  As a thrower, shows good footwork w/ solid release, arm strength w/ carry to target.

6/13/18 - Home-1st: 4.78, Pop Time: 2.00-2.10, Position Velocity:  C-76, Exit Velocity: 86
6-foot-0, 175-pound, RHH plays with effort and brings the hard-nosed qualities you look for in a catcher while collecting 2 hits in game.  Medium, athletic profiles w/ some present lower half strength, some physical projection.  Offensively, hits w/ an open, slightly crouched stance w/ hands in front of the body and very short hand rhythm into shift of weight, knee to knee leg kick and proper load.  Lot of pre-pitch movement, but everything ends up in the right place when it needs to.  Generates bat speed through the zone w/ understanding of how to use his body to generate bat speed.  All fields approach w/ lot of line drives.  Made consistent hard contact in BP.  Projectable pull power as frame continues to mature.  Projectable below average runner, not a clogger.  Defensively, presents a quality low target w/ no glove rest.  Quiet, advanced receiver barely moves his glove to catch the baseball.  Will steal a lot of strikes.  Mobile w/ ability to consistently box the baseball.  As a thrower, shows solid footwork with some length in his release, arm strength w/ carry to target.
