On Wednesday, we headed to Nolensville for their district tilt against Giles County.  Nolensville’s bat exploded early, scoring 7 in the 1st 2 innings and getting a walk off no doubt home run from 2020 Dawson Conder to straight away center field (no video of it) to win it 11-1 in six innings.  Read up on the standouts below:

CARSON ROBBLE / C / OF / NOLENSVILLE, TN / 2019

2-4, 2B

Uncommitted senior catcher picked up a double while showing intriguing all-around catcher tools.  Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, some physical projection.  Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, crouched stance w/ unique hand setup in front of body into short leg kick and proper load.  Generates bat speed through the zone, flashes some whip.  Unique set-up, but gets to where he needs to get to on time.  Up the middle approach w/ some pull power.  As a catcher, presents a quality low target w/ no glove rest.  Tools to be an above average receiver, learning to consistently beat the baseball to the spot and get underneath it.  Athletic receiver, moves well behind the plate.  Is a guy pitchers like to throw to due to how big of a visual target he provides.  As a thrower, shows solid release and footwork w/ carry to target arm strength.
