5-10, 160-pounder shows intriguing lean, athletic frame w/ growth potential. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, upright stance w/ short hand rhythm into stride and proper load. Takes same approach and swing from both sides of the plate. Shows a little better timing, keeps lower half in sync better from the right side. Left handed swing shows slightly more swing repeatability. LD’s to all fields at his best. Projectable gap power as frame matures. As a receiver, presents a solid target, though presents it late w/ short glove rest. Presents higher target on off-speed stuff. Shows wrist strength, ability to frame the baseball. Learning to get underneath the low pitch, tendency to bring low pitches down. Tools to be a high-level receiver with reps behind the plate. As a thrower, shows solid footwork w/ slight cocking action and carry to target arm strength.
