Connor Hamilton, Montgomery Bell Academy (TN), 2025 Positional Profile: RHP/3B Body: 6-4, 200-pounds. Long frame with tons of projection that has some present muscle build and could add plenty of size still Delivery: Clean hips that work with a well built frame. Believe there is plenty of room for added fludity in his mechanics. Overall, opens his hips up really well and creates ideal shoulder/hip seperation. Stacks his shoulders nicely, which allows him to command his fastball extremely well. Arm Action: RH. Short arm action that stays tight into his body. Almost has a late hand break and his arm must compensate by staying shorter. I believe he has more velo present to him with his frame. Could add some initial arm cocking to help with addtional velocity and stuff. FB: T88, 86-87 mph. FB plays rerally well with sneaky late life. Lacks some induced vertical break and could be early pronating with his wrist but has plus arm speed. Spins the ball pretty well and it could just come down to cleaning up his wrist action and positioning. Will play well low to righties and offers the ability to feel up the zone with this pitch. T2320, 2145 average rpm. CB: 73-75 mph. Solid shape at 12/6 here that offers late downward action. Think he does show this pitch somewhat earlier than needed and better hitters will notice it out of hand. Would like to see him have somewhat of a longer lever with his forearm and elbow to create not only a truer shape, but with firmer velocity and snap. T1815, 1698 average rpm. SL: 73-74 mph. Hybrid curveball/slider shape currently. Doesn't spin it all that well currently and I think that can go back to his initinal forearm levering action at hand break. Should be able to spin this pitch in the 2600 range just going off his fastball numbers. T1690, 1680 average rpm. CH: 79-79 mph. Best secondary offering at this point. Kills a lot of spin with this pitch and tunnels it nicely off of his fastball. Offers a different shape than his fastball with firmness with the pitch around 80 mph. T1746, 1683 average rpm.
