Body: 6-2, 200-pounds. Well developed, proportional frame w/ athleticism and some projection.
Delivery: Starts from the 1B side of the rubber, quicker and controlled tempo down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Higher 3/4 arm action.
FB: T87, 86-87 mph. Works to all parts of the zone, easy out of the hand. T2316, 2206 average rpm.
CB: 74-77 mph. Sharper and late bite, 11/5 shape. T2626, 2556 average rpm.
CH: 76-80 mph. Occasional cut at times, plays down in the zone. T2160, 2014 average rpm.
Body: 6-2, 200-pounds. Well developed, proportional frame w/ athleticism and some projection.
Hits: RHH. Taller and slightly open stance, bat starts on the shoulder. Great bat speed. Higher leg lift, swings with aggression, middle and pull side pop. Consistent barrels.
Power: 101 max exit velocity, averaged 95.7 MPH. 376' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-77 mph.Short and easy arm action, developing arm strength with accurate throws.
Defense: Solid glove presentation, fluid and clean on all plays, moves well.
Run: 7.46 runner in the 60.
The Tennessee commit missed a majority of last season due to a shoulder injury, which forced Knoxville Catholic to shift around the pitching rotation and infield alignment. He's expected to be back this year and be a key producer in the lineup + up the middle. He's shown outstanding stuff on the mound in the ace role, but we'll have to wait and see if/when he'll be a full go on the bump. Ideally, he'll be able to contribute early, but should be one to pick up steam as postseason approaches.
The 6-foot-2, 193-pound right hander has established himself as one of the top uncommitted arms in the 23’ class. After sitting 85-88 earlier this fall with 3-pitch mix, Parris followed by posting the top velo (86.2 mph) for the 23’ talent while tossing two scoreless frames while striking out 5. Tall, lean frame with good projection. Repeatable delivery with great body control, mixing deliveries/timing to disrupt hitters and base runners. Feel for pitches and pitches with plan, attacking hitters with 4-pitch mix. 2-Seam FB sat 82-86 (T2380 rpm via Trackman) with late life and slight arm side action. Mixed hard CT/SL at 77-79 (T2661 rpm per Trackman) with sharp 10/4 bite. 11/5 CB at 74-76 (T2572 rpm) with good depth, leading to swing n’ miss. If that wasn’t unfair enough, Parris showed a fading CH at 75-79 with good deception off FB tunnel. Positional, very sound all around, soft hands and crisp transfers. Sneaky range in gameplay (Video Below) compared to sixty time, making a nice backhand in the 6-hole. Offensively, uses his frame for some line drive, gap-to-gap power, but a high-ceiling arm on the bump.
Uncommitted, 6-foot-2, 186-pound right-hander tossed one inning during pool play and impressed with a polished repertoire while striking out two. Proportional, projectable frame with strong lower half to carry velocity. Well-sequenced delivery with good arm speed. Attacked hitters with three pitch mix. FB at 85-88 with slight arm side action and late life, really threw it with intent. CB at 71-72 with great shape and future potential. Also showed fading CH at 74-75 with some depth and maintaining arm speed. Looks to be one of the top uncommitted righty arms in TN 23’ class.
