8/19/18 - Home-1st: 4.50, Position Velocity:  IF-74, Exit Velocity: 84
6-foot-3, 170-pound, LHH showed a projectable frame w/ intriguing pull power.  Tall, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hits w/ a crouched, slightly hunched over, straight on stance w/ very short hand rhythm into leg kick and no load.  Would benefit from some separation to create a better launch angle to the baseball.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Got a little pull happy in game, tendency to roll over his wrists early, creating pop-ups, would benefit from working on extension through the zone.  A lot of untapped offensive potential, shows ability to drive the ball to his pull-side w/ some present pull power.  Showed better running speed and arm strength this summer.  Defensively, shows solid hands w/ developing footwork, projectable arm strength.
6/27/18 - 60 Time: 6.97, Position Velocity:  IF-80, Exit Velocity: 80
6-foot-3, 170-pound, LHH shows off a super projectable frame w/ a lot of tools and made a 7-tick jump in exit velocity from the winter.  Tall, athletic frame, long and lanky w/ lean strength, super projectable.  Has barely scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into leg kick and proper load.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Proper path w/ barrel staying in zone for a long time, just waiting for frame development to unlock the ability to drive the baseball.  All fields, line-drive oriented approach when right.  Projectable pull power.  Plus runner and athlete moves well on the infield w/ solid hands.  Plays through the ball well w/ projectable carry to target arm strength.
1/27/18 - Max FB: 77, FB: 74-77, CB: 60
6-foot-3, 160-pound, RHP shows projectable arm speed.  Tall, athletic frame w/ lot of projection, little present strength.  Pitches from a full wind-up w/ short rocker step into back foot set-up on the first base side of the rubber.  Chest high leg kick into leg drive and H ¾ release.  Glove tapper w/ late hand break occasionally affects timing.  High effort throw uses all his energy towards the plate.  Some head violence.  Lands slightly open, throws slightly across body.  Straight FB w/ occasional ride through the zone.  Medium downer CB w/ proper rotation, late bite.  Projects as a swing and miss pitch.  Thrower right now developing feel for the strike zone.  Just waiting on physical development, as checks all the other boxes.
1/27/18 - Home-1st: 4.20, Position Velocity:  IF-76, Exit Velocity: 73
6-foot-3, 160-pound, LHH shows feel for barrel.  Tall, athletic frame w/ lot of projection, little present strength.  Offensively, hits from a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location.  Little bat waggle.  Shift of weight, short stride to gain a little ground and short hand load.  Good path w/ natural loft.  Feel for barrel w/ gap to gap approach.  Projects to hit for average w/ gap power.  Defensively, plays through the ball well w/ good feet, solid glove and arm strength w/ carry target.  Physical development will determine ultimate ceiling.
6/13/17 - H-1B: 4.36, Position Velocity: 80, Exit Velocity: 78
6’2, 155-pound, LHH has a long and rangy frame with a high level of projection in his build.  Offensively, his hands are loose and athletic, uses a short path to the ball and stays inside it well with extension through contact. Likes to pull the ball, and showed a little pop potential with a HR foul in BP.  Showed better bat speed than his 78 mph exit velocity would suggest and could add more if he puts on some strength.  Defensively, Peterson moves with fluidity and only gets into trouble when his feet and hands get too quick and ahead of the rest of his actions.  He plays through the ball fairly well and gets rid of it without much wasted movement.  Peterson’s frame and athleticism leave a lot of room for growth and potential.   He walked twice and stole a base in game play.

6/15/16 - 60 Time: 7.42, Position Velocity:  IF-73, Exit Velocity: 65
6'1, 142-pound, LHH hits from a wide, balanced, and even stance and begins with the bat resting on his shoulder, uses a short stride and some rhythmic hand motion  backwards to get himself loaded.  Lower half is stable and gets through the zone to give him a very good base to operate on, will lean forward a little bit at times and cause his bat to drag, generally gets good separation and is able to drive his back elbow in and get on a good plane through the hitting zone, squared almost every ball up in BP with line drives all over the field and hit the ball much harder than his recorded 65 mph exit velo would suggest.  Defensively, showed average footwork and hands as he fielded a few balls on his heels and a little too deep to be able to really work through it, gather and exchange take a little bit and lead to a short arm action from an over-the-top release, struggled some with his accuracy and will improve on his arm strength.
