6-foot-4, 200-pound, RHP uses a controlled and consistent motion, simply turns his left foot to begin and brings his hands up with a leg lift that does a good job of getting his lower half engaged and loaded, creates some shoulder tilt and leads home with his front hip, strides in line and finishes under control, arm action is long and loose through a high ¾ release point. Fastball showed an ability to cut or run, curveball had 11/5 shape with some sharp break for strikes, changeup sank through the zone and was thrown with a very loose grip.
6/14/16 - Max FB: 82, FB: 78-81, CB: 69-70,
6'4, 200-pound, RHP throws from a ¾ arm slot and uses a long and loose arm action to deliver pitches from a smooth motion, uses his 6’4 frame to his advantage. Showed a fastball with good run and a little bit of sink that was at its best when it was kept low in the zone, bigtime 11/5 power curveball that can certainly be an out pitch at a lot of levels was used both as an early strike and to get hitters to chase late in the count, control was on and off throughout his outing, showed a change up with some fading sink that can be used to throw off the timing of hitters. Hasn’t gained velocity since his last PBR appearance, but the potential for a jump is there.
10/25/15 - The 6-foot-4, 205-pound prospect throws from a ¾ arm slot with normal effort in delivery and showed a lively fastball with good arm-side run at 81-83 mph. He showed a sharp breaking 11/5 curveball at 68-70 mph, and while his command was scattered with it, it was very effective in the strike zone and has the makings of a solid pitch at the next level. He also showed a change up with solid sink and late fade though the zone at 70-71 mph. Walls gave up three hits and had four strikeouts in two innings pitched during game play. He has the potential to add more velocity, and that along with his ideal frame make him an intriguing 2017 prospect.
