6/13/18 - Max FB: 81, FB: 78-80, Avg FB: 78.39, CB: 66-70
6-foot-3, 230-pound, RHP showed off his swing and miss breaking ball.  Tall, physical, bulldog build w/ strong lower half, projectable upper body, close to mature build.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Lot of head movement, but it gets back around right before release.  Quick arm w/ lot of deception.  Downhill plane.  Straight FB showed occasional arm-side run.  Velo was down from what we saw in the spring, where he pitched 80-84 and averaged 81.75.  Tight medium downer CB w/ average depth.  Arm was playing catch-up often on this day and struggled to stay on top of it and show it to the above average potential it showed in the spring.  Around the zone w/ his 2-pitch mix, projects to command.

6/13/18 - Home-1st: 4.91, Position Velocity:  IF-83, Exit Velocity: 87
6-foot-3, 230-pound, RHH showed bat speed w/ physical frame.  Tall, physical, bulldog build w/ strong lower half, projectable upper body, close to mature build.  Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, crouched stance w/ quiet hands into stride and no load.  Generates above average bat speed through the zone.  Pull oriented approach w/ some pull power.  Learning to control the lower half and stay through the baseball, has a tendency to have his hips leak.  Below average runner.  Defensively, showed above average arm strength from 1B w/ solid actions.  Profiles best as a pitcher.

7/5/17 - Max FB: 81, FB: 78-81, CB: 66-68
6-3, 230-pound, RHP begins with small and quick movements to get his delivery started, leg lift loose the same as we saw in February and gets his front side closed while creating some shoulder tilt before heading to the plate, long arm action comes through a high 3/4 slot.  Fastball was mostly straight with occasional run and his curveball had some sharp 11/5 break when kept down.

60 Time: 7.78, Position Velocity:  IF-78, Exit Velocity: 83
6-3, 230-pound, RHH hits from a slightly wider stance than we saw from him in February but uses that same short and abbreviated leg kick and stride, lower half works, still likes to drive balls that are left up in the zone, strong player with some power potential.  Defensively, showed above average hands and footwork around the bag, has the ability to make all the routine plays, long arm action through a high 3/4 slot gets the ball across the infield.

2/12/17 - 60 Time: 7.60, Position Velocity:  IF-78, Exit Velocity: 86
6-foot-3, 230-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and slightly open stance with quiet hands to begin, uses an abbreviated leg kick with a longer stride and a subtle movement back with his hands to get loaded, lower half fires aggressively and creates good separation but is still held back a little bit when trying to clear, swing plane is pretty flat through the zone but can get a little bit steep on balls kept down, strong build likes to drive the ball to left and left-center in the air.  Defensively, showed pretty sure hands and above-average footwork around the bag, moves well and can make the plays, a little bit of a glove-flipper, arm action is long through a near over-the-top slot.

2/12/17 - Max FB: 80, FB: 77-80, CB: 62-65, CH: 68-72,
6-foot-3, 230-pound, RHP has a big frame for his age, uses a very small rocker step to kick-start a unique motion, leg lift gets him closed at the top and creates some very slight shoulder tilt, strides and lands in a closed position, gets his hand out front with some effort, finishes slightly toward the 1B side, long arm action comes through a near over-the-top release point.  Fastball was mostly straight, curveball was a good pitch with solid 11/5 shape, changeup had a little fade through the zone.
