6-foot-1, 185-pound, RHH shows intriguing combination of run speed and bat speed. Medium, athletic profile w/ present strength, some physical projection. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, upright stance w/ back shoulder hand location. Bat waggle. Mini leg kick w/ proper hand load. Whippy bat speed. Learning to repeat swing and attacking angle. Lot of line drives. Projects to hit for average w/ potential for power. Defensively, shows above average run speed w/ carry to target arm strength. Projects to stay in CF at next level.
6’1, 185-pound, RHH has an athletic build and is even stronger than he looks. Crawford is very relaxed at the plate and is able to generate a ton of bat speed with a bat path that travels slightly up through contact. He uses very good rhythm and consistently barrels balls to all fields. Crawford hits the ball much harder than the 81 mph exit velo he registered at the event and has hit 88 at previous PBR events. Defensively, he moves through the ball well and can cover some ground with well above-average footspeed. His arm strength can and should continue to improve to give him some more carry on his throws from the outfield. Crawford turned heads by finishing 4-5 in game play and should be a huge asset for Beech’s offense again next season.
6/13/17 - Max FB: 80, FB: 78-80, CB: 66-68
6-foot-1, 185-pound, RHP begins his delivery slowly and builds up his tempo through his release and finish. Crawford has an athletic and strong build that helps a ton from the offensive side of the baseball. Works very linear toward his target and has a little recoil with his throwing arm after follow through. Fastball was straight but thrown for strikes and curveball showed 10/4 shape with almost slider-like action.
12/10/16 - 60 Time: 6.82, Position Velocity: OF-78, Exit Velocity: 88
6-foot-1, 185-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and slightly open stance, uses an abbreviated leg kick and closed stride with a slight lowering and movement back with his hands to get loaded, lower half fires to get him going but is held back a little bit by his closed alignment, bat path can get steep at times but is mostly flat through the zone, uses his strength to really get through the ball, tightens up at times, gap-to-gap pop with the ability to hit it just about anywhere on the field. Defensively, showed good hands and footwork in the outfield, played through the ball aggressively and with confidence, smooth exchange led to a long arm action through a low ¾, can improve carry on throws.
