6-0, 170-pound OF shows intriguing offensive ability when is on time with his front foot. Medium, athletic frame w/ some well-proportioned present strength, super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into bit of a hanging leg kick and short hand load. Leg kick landing late causes him to rush his hands into the zone. When on time, shows ability to back-spin the baseball with pull power. Should develop timing with reps. Flashes extension through the zone. Projectable pull power. Defensively, has a chance to stay in CF w/ projectable carry to target arm strength.
8/11/18 - 60 Time: 7.28, Position Velocity: OF-82, Exit Velocity: 68 6-foot-0, 160-pound, LHH shows better bat speed than exit velocity indicates. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, very slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into shift of weight, leg kick and proper load. Learning to consistently repeat timing, when synced up and front foot lands on time, shows ability to drive the baseball to his pull side. Occasionally gets caught with front foot down and weight too far on his front side, hands get left behind at other times, causing him to be late. A lot of offensive potential waiting to be unlocked. Has the tools to hit for average and power. Defensively, shows CF tools w/ projectable above average speed and projectable carry through target arm strength.
11/18/17 - 30 Time: 4.06, Position Velocity: OF-74, Exit Velocity: 78 6-foot-0, 160-pound, LHH shows gap to gap power. Medium, athletic frame w/ projectable lean strength. Offensively, hits from a slightly open, upright stance w/ back shoulder hand location and slight bat waggle. Shift of weight, knee to knee leg kick and proper load. Long swing w/ loft, projects for gap power. Generates backspin. Still learning to repeat swing. Defensively, moves well w/ arm strength w/ carry to target.
12/10/16 - 60 Time: 7.73, Position Velocity: IF-62, OF-65, Exit Velocity: 77 5-foot-11, 153-pound, LHH hits from a balanced and even stance with some relatively high hands that have some movement during pre-pitch, basically a no stride movement with his lower half and a lowering and movement back with his hands get him loaded, lower half lags a little behind and could provide more torque, swing plane comes into the zone a little steep but seems to flatten out a little through contact. Defensively, showed average hands and footwork in the infield, didn’t seem to play through the ball at all, used a short and quick exchange to get rid of the ball with a short arm action through a high ¾ slot, showed versatility by participating in the outfield as well.
