5-foot-10, 145-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and closed stance with a short and quick bat waggle, uses a short stride and a very slight lowering of his hands to get loaded, lower half still works but pulls him taller as it did at our previous event, bat path is flat but swing can get a little armsy, hard and low line drives are what he does best. Defensively, showed above-average hands and footwork, tangled himself up by using two hands at times, arm action is long and loose and very strong through a high ¾ slot.
12/18/16 - Max FB: 82, FB: 79-82, KN: 65-68
5-foot-10, 145-pound, RHP has a rangy build and looks taller on the mound than his 5-10 frame would suggest, a very uptempo delivery with a quick pace doesn’t quite get him fully loaded during his leg lift, left leg straightens and strides in line, arm action is longer through a ¾ slot, could utilize his body a little more, finishes in a balanced spot. Fastball showed run and sink through the zone when thrown for strikes, knuckleball was thrown for strikes as a legitimate pitch and danced around quite a bit
9/18/16 - 60 Time: 7.21, Position Velocity: OF-84, Exit Velocity: 70
5-foot-10, 145-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and closed stance with some fairly high hand positioning, picks his front foot up and brings it back down with a slight lowering of his hands to get loaded, lower half fires but keeps him high and almost up on his toes at contact, hands come down into a good slot and through the zone on a flat plane, hit a lot of low line drives and ground balls up the middle during his BP session. Defensively, attacked the ball with average hands and footwork and made an obvious attempt to play through it aggressively, long exchange and arm action comes through a high ¾ to over-the-top arm slot with good arm strength.
9/18/16 - Max FB: 80, FB: 78-80, KN: 62-66
5-foot-10, 145-pound, RHP begins with his hands together just above his belt and leaves them there throughout his entire wind up, separates hands from this position when it’s time to head toward the plate, uses a quicker motion with a fairly consistent pace throughout his movements, even shoulders and straight stride keep him in line with the plate, very long arm action slings through a high ¾ slot. Fastball was typically straight, only off speed pitch is a knuckle ball that is a good change of pace and can be good at times.
