SS/2B, (2021) Briarcrest, TN. 5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Sutton displayed an exit velocity of 89 mph, showing his strength and power ability. Began in a balanced athletic stance with a small controlled load, then used a controlled stride before his swing. Has above average bat speed, rotational simple swing plane and high finish. He Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 82 mph; has soft sure hands, a fluid exchange and fluid athletic feet. Showed a compact arm action and a ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Recorded a 60 time of 7.08 at the event.
12/17/17 - 5-6, 140-pound middle infielder shows projectable tools, frame. Short, athletic frame w/ developing strength. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, straight up stance w/ back shoulder hand location. Short stride w/ short load. Generates bat speed through the zone w/ projectable gap power. Still learning to repeat the same swing. Defensively, shows solid hands/feet w/ arm strength w/ carry to target.
