9/25/16 - 60 Time: 7.19, Position Velocity:  OF-89, Exit Velocity: 83
5-foot-9, 180-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and mostly even stance with his hands tucked just behind his back ear, uses a short and early but smooth stride with a push back of his hands and a slight tilt of the barrel to get loaded, lower half fires and gets through but can push him forward a little too much at times, swing is short as it comes into the zone in a steeper manner but is able to flatten out on balls up in the zone, showed the ability to hit line drives all over the field with a solid round of BP.  Defensively, attacks the ball in the outfield and is very aggressive when playing through it, uses his athleticism to his benefit, clean exchange leads to a long and loose arm action through an over-the-top release to produce very strong throws with accuracy.

9/25/16 - Max FB: 85, FB: 82-85, CB: 72-73, CH: 76-78
5-foot-9, 180-pound, RHP uses a pretty fluid motion that stays controlled with good tempo and is able to build up until his release of the ball, hands go down with rocker step but come back up with a higher leg lift that gets his front side well loaded, leads with his front side and unloads everything at once toward the plate, falls off only slightly toward 1B side, long arm action stays loose and comes through a high ¾ to over-the-top slot.  Fastball was mostly straight but seemed very heavy through the zone, curveball was sharp and powerful with late 12/6 shape, changeup showed some late fade.

6/15/16 - 60 Time: 7.44, Position Velocity:  OF-91, Exit Velocity: 85
5'9, 180-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and slightly open stance and a very early stride to get himself set, stride is short and uses some rhythmic hand movement to get himself going.  Lower half fires to give him some really good separation and provides some extra bat speed throughout his swing, hands are relatively high and don’t drop down to get on the plane of the pitch, a little steep but does a good job of flattening out and driving pitches up in the zone, strong kid struggles to stay totally balanced throughout his finish, tallied 2 singles in game action.  Defensively, showed good footwork, although he rushed himself at times, average hands fielded the ball a little too deep but worked through it well, used a clean exchange to lead into a long and loose arm action from a high ¾ slot to produce some very strong throws with some accuracy and a lot of carry.

10/25/15 - The 5 foot 9, 175-pound prospect posted a 7.25 60 time and had an 80 mph position velocity from the outfield.  Defensively Patterson shows long arm action with a high-3/4 release, accuracy on his throws, good arm strength, soft hands, fluid footwork that allows him to play through the ball and take precise routes. Offensively, Patterson had a 75 mph exit velocity off the tee from the right side. He hits from balanced setup, has a short stride, explodes with lower half and shows quickness in hands to generate bat speed, aggressive approach at the plate and shows flashes of gap to gap power. Patterson went 0 for 3 during game play and had a good round of batting practice where he consistently squared up the baseball. On the mound, the RHP throws from a high-3/4 arm slot with a quick and athletic arm. His fastball sat 82-83mph, topping at 84 with good arm-side run but also showed effective cutting action on a few occasions. Patterson showed a harder curveball at 72-73 mph with 11/5 break and stayed low in the zone with it. He throws with some effort in his delivery at times and used his fastball as his out pitch running it in on the hands of right-handed hitters effectively. Patterson had four strikeouts in two innings pitched during game play. His quick arm could lead to an increase in velocity moving forward.
