9/10/17 - 6-0, 195-pound catcher.  Righty hitter hits from a very slightly open, very slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location.  Mini leg kick where he picks foot up and puts down in same spot, but squared up w/ short hand load.  Avg bat speed w/ all fields approach.  Intriguing uncommitted 2018 prospect.

6/14/16 - 60 Time: 8.12, Pop Time: 2.09-2.28, Position Velocity:  C-70, Exit Velocity: 73
5'10, 190-pound, RHH hits from a tall and slightly open stance and begins with his hands in a very high position above his head, uses a high leg kick and drops and loads his hands to get himself ready to go at the plate.  Lower half works well and helps him get his barrel on plane and stay through the zone for a long time, bat speed could improve and didn’t hit many balls as hard as he is probably capable, does show potential to get through the ball better in the future. Defensively, showed good hands and receiving ability, footwork was smooth but a little slow, put himself in a good position to deliver the ball to second base with accurate throws, has a little double-clutch in his over-the-top arm slot. Stood up a little soon on some of his throws to second.

6/23/15 - The 5 foot 10, 175-pound prospect posted a 5.28 home to 1st time and had a 67 mph position velocity from behind the plate. Defensively McKenry shows solid footwork, soft hands, receives well, smooth all around approach from behind the plate, clean exchange, short arm action, accuracy on throws. McKenry’s 2.21-2.31 pop times will improve with the development of additional arm strength. Offensively McKenry has average bat speed from the right side and had a 74 mph exit velocity off the tee. He hits from a balanced setup, has a short stride with a slight leg kick, has good balance, good approach, needs more extension on his swing, is a line drive type hitter. McKenry went 0-for-3 during in game play.
6/10/15 - The 5 foot 10, 175- pound, young prospect posted an 8.16 60 time and had a position velocity of 65 mph from behind the plate. Defensively McKenry had a pop time range of 2.21-2.34 with average arm strength. McKenry receives the ball well from behind the plate with soft hands but has room to improve overall lateral quickness. Offensively McKenry has average bat speed and had a 71 mph exit velocity off of the tee from the right side. Hits from a balanced setup with a short stride and is a line drive type hitter, has a good approach at the plate and offensive game will continue to evolve with added physical strength.
