6-foot-2, 220-pound prospect with a strong lower half throws from a ¾ arm slot with quick arm speed, regular effort in delivery, Franklin’s  ¾ slot produces good arm-side run on fastball, slider showed late bite while he showed the ability to throw it for strikes, changeup with good sink and fade plays well off the fastball though could use a bigger velocity difference at times, also showed a splitter with late sinking action but had trouble locating it for strikes on this occasion. Franklin has committed to Kalamazoo College (MI) since the conclusion of the event.
12/19/15 - The 6-foot-2, 220-pound prospect with a strong lower half throws from a ¾ arm slot with quick arm speed. Franklin’s fastball sat at 82-84 mph while topping out at 86 on one occasion, ¾ slot produces good arm-side run on fastball. Franklin’s slider sat 72-74 mph with 10/4 shape and sharp action while throwing it for strikes, changeup sat at 76-79 mph with sink that he threw for strikes, also throws a splitter at 76-77 mph with late sinking action for strikes. Franklin impressed with his ability to throw four pitches for strikes and will be a solid pick up for a college program.
