2/22/18 - 6-foot-1, 170 pounds with a slender frame and a quick arm. Has good stuff, yet was barrelled up by UT-Arlington in his first start. Fastball sat 95-97 early, touching 98 on the first pitch of game. Down to 92-93 by the third inning. It had late life to his arm side. Showed a good breaking ball, 80-84 mph with 11/5 rotation and an above average changeup changeup at 84-86. All of his raw stuff was well above average, yet lacked command and deception. The zone was called tight and he continually fell behind in the count. The hitters got good looks and hit him hard. Threw 2.1 innings, allowing six runs on six hits, walking five with just one strikeout.
