Standing 6-foot-4, 215-pounds the athletic Auburn commit showed a lot to love moving forward in his short outing against Barbe (LA). Petrovic pitched at 86-89 with the fastball and moved it around the zone, getting lots of swings and misses at the top of the zone. The fastball plays up due to a plus change up he throws to both right handed and left handed hitters at 76-79 mph. The big right hander also mixed in a quality breaking ball at 75-76 mph on the day. It was quite early in the spring and I wont be shocked to see a velocity jump happen soon. One of the more impressive things was to see Petrovic move around at SS and make a few quality plays from odd positions and show body control on the dirt. There is a lot to like about the frame, arm path, and stuff moving forward, look for Petrovic to continue to progress and show his high ceiling as a ball player.
