Ashton Widmer, Homeschool (TX), 2026 Positional Profile: OF/RHP Solid tools with opportunities to refine tools. Physically will have good build. Nice upside present. Body: 5-10, 170-pounds. Good build/frame to add strength in future. Lower has some leg definition now. Hit: RHH. Solid approach to hit. Toe tap stride, lands with body in good position to hit. Linear movement to back leg, does a good job using lower 1/2 in swing. Hits off firm front side with slight lay back of upper torso, can stay more upright in swing. Good bat/hand speed. Barrel starts in good spot after hands floating down from slightly above shoulders. Slight swing creating uphill path along with length. Has to be careful with dropping of hands making sure they don't go to low. Would like to see more direct path into zone with hands/barrel, this would happen if hands don't slide down quite as far. Like the swing components. 75 mph bat speed with 12 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 89.6 mph. 344' max distance. Like the future bat/power combo. Getting more on plane will benefit contact consistency. Shows bat speed with overall solid approach. Arm: RH. OF-84 mph. Arm works well, shows arm speed. Would benefit from long toss program, increasing arm speed and firming foot work. Defense: Moves well to baseball, gets in good fielding position. Footwork setting to throw can improve, would recommend he try crow hop in front to maintain momentum to throw. ATH: 6.99 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.94 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs well, solid quickness to start. 25.10 max vertical.
