Boyle showed great barrel control and bat speed in his five at bats, generating four hard hit balls sprayed around the field. Boyle put together a 5 quality at-bats on the night. Although he is a heavy hitter, he showed patience and poise in the box, willing to take and fight off pitches. During his first AB, he forced nine pitches until he got the one he liked and shot it through the infield to right field. Boyle has a big athletic frame, at 6-1 220-pounds, that still has room to grow, and his tool set shows a lot of potential to hit for average and power at the next level. He moves well out of the box and shows good speed in the outfield as well.
