09.23.17 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound, projectable, long-limbed, athletic frame with plenty of room to add strength. Lopez pounded the strike zone with a steady FB/CB mix, working from a ¾ slot. Smooth rhythm, tempo and balance throughout a drop and drive delivery with an athletic finish. His fastball shows arm side run and sink at 80-82 mph. He was able to locate his fastball to both sides of the plate, including getting it into right-handed hitters. Good feel for his curveball at 69-70 mph with nice 2/8 shape and depth, can locate it early and late in counts. Made quick work of hitters during his one inning of work.
