Positional Profile: 1B/OF RHH/OF/1B Strength present, will add more in future. Solid defensive player with versatility present. Will be solid at both corner OF spot and 1st base. Moves well for big frame with strength. Love the upside to bat/power combo with adjustments. Good player to watch develop in next year and 1/2.
Body: 6-1, 230-pounds. Strong build. Will add more strength in future. Projects very well.
Hit: RHH. Lands in good position to hit after stride. Shows developing linear move to back foot, foot gets stuck. Work to make sure foot gets fully rotated, develop linear movement forward, towards mound. This will increase use of lower 1/2 and increase ability to impact baseball. Barrel/hands in good position to launch. Swing works, would like to see further development of line drive approach. Good bat/hand speed present along with bat strength. 73.5 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 104 max exit velocity, averaged 90.1 mph. 403' max distance. Project solid bat/power combo in future. Power over hit. Opportunities for adjustments present to maximize lower 1/2 use. Good base to work from, will impact baseball with changes.
Arm: RH. INF-75 mph. OF-80 mph. Arm works well, carry to throws.
Defense: OF…moves well to baseball, breaks down well to field, feet work well setting to throw. INF…feet work well moving to baseball and when fielding. Hands work well.
ATH: 6.98 runner in the 60. 1.61 and 3.88 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs well. Good start, will get his share of SB's if given opportunity. Moves well for big, strong build. 25.40 max vertical.
