4/18/18 - 5’11/195, S/R, Junior- Athletic, strong bodied switch-hitting outfielder. Above average runner underway, ran 4.19 and 4.22 on ground balls to the infield. Average defender with average arm, enough for right field in pro ball. Only saw as left handed hitter, his unnatural side, but the side he will hit from most often. Loose swing with good hand strength and bat speed. High knee/leg lift and bat tilt for load. Front foot/heel plant gets down down late at times. Swing will get a little long and loopy when he allows his backside to collapse. Could transfer his weight so it’s more 50/50 as opposed to present 30/70, front/back. As a left handed hitter he has posted a slash of .336/.410/.538 so far this season. As a righty .364/.475/.576. This was my first look at Cole and I was very impressed overall. He’s another Razorback who gives me a good feeling about his makeup, in addition to his tools. Looks to have all the intangibles as he competes and plays hard. He’s very comparable to other college outfielders who could go anywhere from the third-to-fifth rounds.
