Positional Profile: OF/RHP Begert has a lot of potental growth and upside with his bat that could allow him to play at the next level.
Body: 6-2, 184-pounds. Tall athletic frame with a solid lower half wiht great potential to fill out.
Hit: RHH. Spread out and closed off stance. Hands are compact resting at the shoulder. Quick hands that extend well through zone. Lower half creates good rotation and seperation for good power numbers 69.3 mph bat speed with 16 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 89.7 mph. 345' max distance. Gus does a really good job of keeping his hands inside the ball all the way through his extentsion and combines it with good rotation that allows for power and good contact to all fields.
Arm: RH. OF-83 mph. Over the top release but has a stiff throwing motion, loosen up a bit and use the strong lower half.
Defense: He comes to the ball well and has a clean transfer from glove to hand that would be effecient to throw runners out.
ATH: 7.02 runner in the 60. Plus runner for his size as he runs with large strides in an effecient motion. 29.60 max vertical.
