Vaughn takes aggressive swings, and has natural lift in his swing. His pop times ranged from 2.00-2.26 seconds and he flashed carry on his throws at 74 mph. Vaughn has a quick right jab step while throwing, and has some arm strength after his clean exchange. He ran a 7.87 60-yard dash.
