Jayson Bustamante, Frisco (TX), 2026 Positional Profile: SS/3B Good build to add needed strength. Solid bat/power combo in future, expecting ability to impact baseball to develop with added strength. Overall solid swing and approach with minor adjustment opportunity. Moves well in the infield showing actions. Good tools present. Body: 6-0, 175-pounds. Good build/frame to add needed strength in future. Hit: LHH. Simple toe lift with no stride, gets into good position to hit. Rotational back foot, does a solid job of using lower 1/2. Slight lean back of body at point of contact, would like to see little more upright with posture at contact. Overall solid approach with minor opportunity for adjustment. Barrel/hands in solid launch position, takes nice path to baseball. Solid swing. 70.8 mph bat speed with 18 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 93.6 mph. 383' max distance. Solid bat/power combo projected. Overall solid swing and approach, can tweak hit approach slightly, but overall, good contact resulting from good combo of approach and swing. Arm: RH. INF-80 mph. Arm works with ability to throw from all angles. Raw arm strength can be improved. Defense: Actions present, feet work getting body to baseball to field. Hands are solid, in good position to field. Steady defensive player in middle of diamond. ATH: 7.12 runner in the 60. Nice start, can improve by staying a bit lower in 1st 10 yards. Upright runner, develop lean forward with head and shoulders.

Bustamante is a well-built infielder with strong athleticism. He has an advanced swing with a max exit velo of 98.8 mph and solid bat speed. With good gap power, he consistently makes hard contact and drives the ball well to all parts of the field. As he continues to get stronger, Bustamante could develop some real power. Defensively, he plays with good body control and could play at a couple different places on the dirt. Another quality uncommitted hitter from Frisco.
