8-20-2018: Tall, large framed righty at six-foot-six, 215 pounds. Throws from a high three-quarter slot with a lower release point. Real good idea on the mound. Pitched to contact by mixing an 89-91 mph fastball, 80 mph slider and 79-81 mph changeup. Changeup was a plus pitch. Threw in any count with consistent fade and sink. Below average slider had short break to arm side and more of a long roller to his glove side. Will need to firm up and throw harder to be a useful pitch at the next level. Quick pickoff move to first base. Held runners well by varying looks and hold times; 1.21 to plate with fastball, 1.25 with off speed. Returns to the Cowboys in 2019 as a redshirt junior after missing most of the 2017 and 2018 (10.2 IP) seasons with Tommy John surgery. (Seifert)
