06.26.18
Lean, high-waisted frame, 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. The left-hander has smooth rhythm in his delivery with a long arm stroke, a high release point, and throws all three of his pitches from the same high slot with the same high effort level. Carbone takes a small rocker step in his wind-up, has a controlled low leg lift, and then has a front leg swing down the mound with a straight leg, puts force into the ground with a strong front side, and his hips fire through down the mound. Carbone threw his fastball 81-84 mph, he flashed a power curveball with 2/8 sharp break and he showed the ability to locate this pitch glove-side-down in the strike zone, his changeup also had fastball-like arm speed at 75-77 and he worked this pitch down in the zone. Carbone has yet to reach his full potential on the mound.

6-foot-1, 170-pounds. A two-way player and left-handed hitter, Carbone starts from a neutral, balanced stance. Early smooth load back as he triggers his hands back and up. Downward path, short path, low finish with an exit velocity of 84 mph. At first base, Carbone is light on his feet with quicking footwork around the bag. Plays with rhythm through the ball and a clean exchange. Accurate throws to bases, can start the double play from a lower slot. Threw 80 mph across the diamond. Ran a 7.22 60-yard dash.
