Hit: RHH. Solid hit approach, rotational back foot, drives forward onto ball of foot engaging lower 1/2. Hits into firm front leg, solid posture. Stride foot stays into ground, hits ground up. Develop core strength with rotational exercises to increase rotational acceleration. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Hands work towards zone, barrel works down and into zone with slight uphill path. Get on plane with swing taking barrel directly to hit zone. Comes over balls with current swing.

Hit: RHH. Crouched stance with wide base. Dead stop start prior to stride. Would love to see slight load into back leg prior to stride, helps getting body into better position to hit. Lands in nice position, believe it can be improved. Good use of lower 1/2 with linear movement to back foot. Solid posture to swing. Front foot falls into heal late, work to stay into ball off foot. Barrel/hands start in good position to launch. Takes solid path to hit zone. Shows occ barrel dump on balls away, work to keep barrel equal or above hands during swing. Cuts off swing, especially evident on balls middle away, stay thru baseball with extension. Solid AB's in game play.

ATH: 7.09 runner in the 60. Good start, got upright with head up last 40 yards, work to get lean forward. Good stride length. Moves well.

Kade Flowers, a 2029 player for Rockwall Heath, has a good frame and showed well playing all over the field. He possesses real bat speed, and with his current strength, he has the potential to really impact the baseball early in high school. His arm strength was evident in the field, and his versatility allows him to play multiple positions. Flowers also pitches, and I’m excited to see him on the mound in the future. He’s a baseball player with natural traits, and Coach Harvey is getting a good one.
