Rose was in total control on Friday against a quality Aledo Lineup. The Jr. was 88-91 with the fastball, and he attacked with the pitch early and often. He was the aggressor and came after every hitter. He also showed a 2 plane breaking ball that he could drop in for a strike and throw off the plate for a chase pitch. Rose also catches and has a nice Left handed stroke in the batter’s box, but I think his upside is on the mound. He has great mound presence and plenty of present stuff that should tick up if he focused on the mound solely. He should not be uncommitted long, and he is on the short list of guys I would want to toe the rubber for me in a must win game.
