In his most recent outing, his fastball touched 89 MPH, and he has the potential to see that number spike as his physicality develops. We have seen him up to 91 in HS action as well. Maddux also showcases a slider with solid depth, though it can be slurvy at times. His curveball shows early break with downward action but is still developing consistency. His split-finger has down action and is another pitch with good potential. With his fastball velocity expected to increase and his secondary pitches continuing to firm up, Maddux has all the tools to become a top-tier arm.
