1.5.19
Wiry, quick twitch frame at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. The left-handed hitter starts from a wide, slightly open stance, then loads back smooth and lifts his hands as he cocks the barrel forward then strides forward, walking away from his hands, landing with separation and stacked shoulders. Quick hands deliver the barrel with good whip in the barrel as he stays in the zone a long time. Hard contact from the middle to pull side during BP, athletic hack with a loose finish. In the outfield, he plays through the ball with confidence, rhythm, and a clean exchange into his crowhop with a top velocity of 84 mph. On the infield, a quick first step and good footwork plays for a good sense of timing, and he gets rid of the ball with a quick exchange with a top velocity of 81 across the diamond.

06.26.18
5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame with wiry strength. Davenport ran a 6.81 laser-timed 60. The left handed-hitter flashed loose barrel whip with fluid actions in his swing; 88 mph exit velo off the tee.  Athletic stance with rhythm and quickness in his hands, he loads back with his body and has a slight lean back during his leg kick, keeps his hands over his backside during his weight-shift with his body to create separation and takes an aggressive hack level through the hitting zone.  In the outfield he worked through the ball with his footwork and clean transfer, had a long release, and made low accurate throws to the dish. Davenport throws from multiple arm angles off the bump. Commanded fastball at 77-78 mph, had sink and arm-side-run when he threw from a side-arm slot.  He commanded a curveball in the zone with various shapes at 69-70 mph, his changeup was 68 mph, and he threw his knuckleball at 65-66 mph. Davenport has some rhythm in his delivery with a long to short arm stroke, and lands slightly open with his front foot. He has an energetic presence on the mound, and will be a ground ball machine when he works down in the strike zone with his sinking fastball.

07.22.17
5-foot-10, 145-pound, lean, high-waisted, frame. The right-hander work from a high-¾ slot with a long arm stroke and a slight reach in the back. Level shoulders, directional, in-line delivery with some effort, short strider, lands square, upright finish. Threw a straight fastball that ranged from 73-75 mph. His breaking ball was 65-67 mph with gradual depth and 10-4 shape. Maintains good arm speed on his changeup with arm side fade at 68 mph.
A two-way player and left-handed hitter, Davenport has a smooth load, short stride, front arm bar as his hands slide back into an athletic, balanced launch position. Hands work well through the zone, strong top hand with line drive power and barrel awareness. Crisp contact and hard contact during batting practice. At shortstop, Davenport has a clean exchange with average hands and staggered footwork in his fielding position. Accurate arm during infield workout from a ¾ slot at 75 mph.
