The right-handed hitter starts from an open, tall stance, then triggers his hands back as he pinches his knees together, turning inward and uses a low-hanging glide to stride forward, creating separation. Took an outstanding round of BP, showing an aggressive, leveraged hack with quality transfer and strength in the barrel. Pounded several balls off the wall to the pull side and posted a top exit velocity of 89 mph. Behind the plate, Benson has quick feet, and posted pop times of 2.18-2.32 with a top velocity from the crouch of 71 mph.

5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. Benson starts from a tall, open stance before turning his front knee in as he triggers his hands, and cocks the barrel over the top of his head. Simple weight transfer and loose hands allow him to throw the barrel and flash gap power to the pull side with an exit velocity of 85 mph. Behind the plate, Benson has a quick exchange to force his hands into a high position and uses directional footwork. Gets the ball in and out quickly, posting a top velocity from the crouch of 72 mph with pop times ranging from 2.07-2.27

Five-foot-10, 165-pound frame with a strong lower half. Benson hits from an athletic open stance at the plate, utilizes a leg kick for timing purposes and to shift weight back, maintains good balance throughout his swing and shows intent to do some damage at the plate.  He flashed a quick bat, and pullside power using an explosive lower half in his swing; 85 mph exit velo off a tee. Behind the plate, he handled live pitchers well, and showed mobility in blocking some tough pitches. His pop times ranged from 2.11-2.26 with a quick exchange and top velocity from the crouch of 71 mph.
