8/2016 - Projectable frame. Flexible. Very good arm speed. High-3/4 slot. Fastball gets downhill, sitting 91-93. 11/5 shape to curveball at 78-81. Not finishing it. Lacks control. 4 IP, 3 R, 3 H, 5 BB, 3 K at Area Code Games.
8/11/15 - Pitched the final three innings for the Rangers’ game against the Yankees, flashing some intriguing upside. Lack of secondary stuff holds him back from being a frontline prospect for the time being, but he has the frame and fastball that make him a strong follow. He’s long and skinny at 6-foot-3, 165 pounds with quick and loose actions. He pitches from a high-3/4 slot and gets down angle on his fastball with arm-side life. His fastball started out at 89-90, touching 91-92, but settled into the 87-89 range. He allowed one hit, a walk and hit batter in three innings.
