Stanko is a solid defender with quick feet and a good arm. Behind the dish, he was a 1.93-2.02 with a quick release. Accurate thrower with good spin to his ball. Actions work in the INF as well. Good angles to balls and hands work well. Dylan has a balanced swing with quick hands.

Dylan Stanko, Tomball Memorial (TX), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/C RHH/INF/C good build/frame to add strength in future. Developing defender with ability to play in the middle as infielder and value behind the plate. Project solid bat/power combo in future with adjustments to hit approach. Nice player who will continue to improve.
Body: 5-9, 148-pounds. Solid, slim build. Needed strength will come with growth and maturity. Expect a solid build.
Hit: RHH. Lands with feet apart after some length to stride. Rotational back foot, fair use of lower 1/2. Develop some linear movement forward with back foot driving forward, driving lower 1/2 forward into firm front side. Linear movement will help due to length of stride. Hits into firm front side with body leaning back slightly at contact. Driving foot/hip forward will help with posture, increasing ability to impact baseball. Barrel/hands in good position to launch. Takes solid path to hit zone with both. Fair bat/hand speed will firm with increased strength. 64.8 mph bat speed with 5 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 82.9 mph. 289' max distance. Project solid bat/power combo in future with adjustments to hit approach. Opportunity to firm ability to impact baseball. Solid future with changes.
Arm: RH. C-76 mph. INF-79 mph. Arm works, shows ability to throw from angles. Look for raw arm strength to improve with added strength. Recommend long toss to increase arm speed and raw arm strength. C...Arm works well. Avg arm strength present. Has carry with accuracy.
Defense: 1.93-2.07 pop times. INF…solid actions. Moves to baseball well with feet, breaks down well, shows ability to play thru baseball with feet. Hands work, firm ability to consistently field baseball out front. Backhand field, if possible get right foot deep on backhand, try to avoid L foot across body. Solid infielder. C...Feet move well behind plate. Stays low and athletic through the throw.
ATH: 7.13 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.98 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Stride length is nice. Creates premium speed. Work on arm swing direction being more up and down instead of across body. Will continue to get faster. 24.60 max vertical.
